Guilin Reed Flute Cave, Lu Di Yan, Guangxi

With its location five kilometers northwest of the downtown of Guilin, the Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries. The cave got its name from the verdant reeds growing outside it, with which people make flutes. Inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition.

First 'Dark Shadows' Image Revealed

A Tim Burton movie starring Johnny Depp? Shocking. Oh and there's Helena Bonham Carter. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But I'd really like to see Burton do something original. Dark Shadows the movie is based off the popular TV show from the late '60s.

Burton's version will star Depp, Bonham Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green (who look just like Evan Rachael Wood in this picture), Chloe Grace Moretz and Christopher Lee.

The story follows the 200-year-old vampire Barnabas Collins (Depp) as he encounters other monsters. I'm sure Burton's version will be a festival of gothic proportions and though it's not anything new, I'm still excited to see it. It's set to come out May 11, 2012. Will you go see it?

First 'Iron Lady' Poster

So cool! Meryl Streep's next film, Oscar darling The Iron Lady, is set to come out December 16. Streep plays Margaret Thatcher, former prime minister of the United Kingdom. It is directed by Phyllida Lloyd who directed 2008's Mamma Mia (also starring Streep). I'm excited for this film, but after last winter's The King's Speech, I'm not getting my hopes up. I know that it was a good movie, but I never felt like it lived up to the hype it received. What do you guys think? Will Meryl's film be a hit?

'J.Edgar' Trailer

I've always said that J. Edgar Hoover was one of my favorite dead people. Yes, he was considered evil and corrupt, but he had all the dirt on everyone and that's true power. That's why he fascinated me growing up. Leonardo DiCaprio also fascinated me growing up, but in a first celebrity crush sort of way. Today the two combine to make what will hopefully be a great film. It definitely seems like a possibility from this trailer. The movie is set to come out November 9, will you go see it?

*Evolutionary Special*

(Newer not better)

2. Shia LaBeouf & Troy Tulowitzki

1. Marisa Miller & Connie Britton

Connie Britton somehow looks less than perfect.
But next to Marisa Miller I'm afraid, so too would fist full of diamonds.

‎9.16 song of the day

There's, ahem, an old joke by Bill Hicks about wanting his Rockstars dead.

Close enough, I say.

'Olivia Twisted' to Star Ashley Greene

In this gothic, "twisted" version of Oliver Twist, Ashley Greene will star as Olivia Twisted, a 19-year-old heroine who leads a gang of orphans. They embark on what's supposed to be a kidnapping and end up getting thrown in the middle of a war between to gangs.

There's no official director yet, but The Social Network's Michael De Luca is currently in charge of the project. Greene's only major role thus far has been as Alice Cullen in the Twilight films, so hopefully she can pull out a great performance and not just another gothic, sci-fi extravaganza. The film is supposed to come out next year, which coincidentally is the bicentennial of Dicken's birth.
