When there's nothing in it and you ask yourself.

Remember the Rodarte-inspired sweater I was knitting? No, its not quite done. But its getting there! I have yet to finish the sleeves but it sure makes a great sweater vest. Since I'm going back to school soon and won't be able to finish the sleeves for a few months I wanted to wear it anyways and kill two birds with one stone by giving you a 'progress report' and an 'outfit of the day'.

sweater: self made, scarf: knitted by my mom, skirt: thrifted, tghts:American Apparel and I pretty much adore them.

The wool is super stretchy, which is nice for achieving that hole-y look I was going for. Once the sleeves are on, it might even be reminiscent of Vivienne Westwood's early punk designs! (Which, for the life of me, I cannot seem to find a picture of.)

I have to say, that I really love knitting. I'm not very advanced - this is the first non-scarf that I've ever knitted (and without a pattern, at that) but I am incredibly pleased with the early results of this sweater and knitting might just end up one of those hobby that sticks with me my entire life.
