Last Splash
Summer is almost over and I've been saving my money like a maniac (tuition is a bitch), but I wanted to reward myself with something nice before I had to go back to living on a student budget of broke. I am nowhere near rich, but I think it's a good idea to start buying 'investment pieces' whenever you can. So on the weekend, my friends and I drove up to north of Toronto to hit up Holt Renfrew Last Call, where all past season designer items are sold at marked down prices. After a long browse-through, only a few things really stuck out to me. The dressing room was the moment of truth - and the truth was, I really needed to buy this Balenciaga dress. The drape of the neckline is beyond perfect.
There it is - my first ever big ticket purchase! I love how it's very classy and womanly and professional but is simple enough to jazz up with brooches or weird leggings. Like this!
I also ended up with a pair of Rag & Bone pants, that I wore to work yesterday and are possible the most comfy things to ever envelope my legs.
And that, my friends, is the rest of the story.
