La Vida Loca

I survived the holidays, for the most part unscathed. Jellybean took control over Scooby's new R/C train, and his new cars with their garage. She tried to take over the TV too, and boss him around.

Here we are, life back to normal as school has started back up. There's new channels on the tv (Disney Jr!!) that will have to be watched. There are new recipes that must be tried with new dishes to cook them in. There are new programs that need to installed on this computer that is as old as Scooby is.

But most of all, there were resolutions made that will last a whole 2 hours days weeks months (if I'm lucky!). I made some, GC made some. Just about everyone I know made some.

But, what if you had the power to decide someone's resolutions for them?

I see that evil cocked eyebrow grin and the nodding of your head. You are plotting this already, aren't you? Haha.

Of course I would do this. Ohhh, half the fun would be in deciding who would do what!

  • GC would be tending to the trash on a hourly daily basis.
  • No more motor mouth from Jellybean.
  • Scooby Doo would poop in the potty. (you had to know it was coming!)
But most of all?

"Don't be so busy making a living that you forget to make a life."

This is the #1 resolution I would impose on GC. He's a good man, an imperfect one, for sure, but a good one. He was raised in the old fashioned way that a man provides for his family, so he does.

The problem is he is never satisfied with the money he brings in, always chasing that $2 bill that eludes him.

This means that the kids go long periods of not seeing him, and when they do it is usually very brief (and way past their bedtime). He's always been motivated to make money, but he doesn't realize that we really could get by on a lesser amount.

Especially if that meant he was home more.

Every want doesn't need to be fulfilled, not every star has to be captured. There are plenty of stars right here just waiting to show off. He just needs to stop once in awhile and remember to watch, look, listen, and love.

They grow up fast, man. Don't miss out. Make sure you live a little along the way.

If you could give a resolution to someone, what would it be?

Stone Patio Furniture Idea

Set against a wonderful, but rough stone background, this patio furniture comes into its own. An idea by Paola Lenti, the furniture is soft and welcoming, instantly transforming the cold, hard environment into an oasis of relaxation. The contrast serves to emphasise the comfort of the patio furniture… daybeds, large wicker armchairs, and even a full size sofa are all scattered with plump

Contemporary Furniture Inside Traditional Walls

Rich, romantic, elaborate and….. modern? This design is a perfect example of the blending of two separate decorative styles – in this case, two styles from separate centuries. The striking walls are reminiscent of eighteen century France with its high ceilings, plastered walls and ornate carvings. The furniture is undoubtedly very modern, and includes pieces by Studio Roche Bobois. The leather

Stunning Stone Art Divider Wall with Salto Sofa

Open-concept designs are sought after these days. However, despite their airy and freeing atmosphere, it can be difficult to define each living space due to the wide area and endless possibilities. This design incorporates a spectacular stone art as divider wall to separate the rooms. It is nowhere near as imposing as a regular wall and offers more visual appeal through its ripple or tree ring

Patio Design Idea - The Dominance of the Gray

The color gray brings to mind pebbles, stormy skies, and seagull’s wings. Indeed, soothing shades of gray are anything but boring. A patio design from the Paola Lenti Aqua Collection proves gray can be endlessly intriguing with stunning pieces of furniture that create a calming, earthy feel outdoors. Sofas from the Cove and Frame product lines look welcoming and shady in the midday sun. Soft
