Quentin Tarantino's Next Film: A spaghetti western called 'Django Unchained'

I could easily say that Quentin Tarantino is on my top five favorite directors list. And it's been a little too long since 2009's Inglourious Basterds. Tarantino's next project is a spaghetti western. After the image below surfaced on Twitter several days ago, it has been confirmed that the name of the film is Django Unchained.

It's set to star one of the best-cast villains in today's business, Christoph Waltz, who recently starred in Water for Elephants. According to Total Film, the film is an homage to the 1966 film Django in which a "a gunslinger is caught in a feud between the Ku Klux Klan and Mexican bandits."

Chances are there will be a lot of violence, potentially inaccurate historical subplots and an excellent soundtrack. The film blog Slash Film claims to have a source who has read the script. According to this source, below is the intended plot.

"Django is a freed slave, who, under the tutelage of a German bounty hunter (played by Christopher Waltz, the evil Nazi officer in Inglourious Basterds) becomes a bad-ass bounty hunter himself, and after assisting Waltz in taking down some bad guys for profit, is helped by Waltz in tracking down his slave wife and liberating her from an evil plantation owner."

So Waltz might play a semi-good character? I don't know how I feel about this. For most actors I encourage stepping outside the type cast, but he just does evil so well!
