The weather is starting to chill down, but I don't mind at all because that just means I can wear all of my weird sweaters again! How cool is this sweater dress? The beading looks like a cross between a scarab beetle and a royal crown. Apparently a friend of mine saw me from afar on campus today, and even though she only caught a brief glimpse she knew it was me because I was wearing a baggy sweater, thermal socks and Doc Martens. I am so predictable, it's awesome.

Also, I'd thought I'd share this picture of me outside the crazy architecture of the Royal Ontario Museum when I went to Toronto last Sunday.

You can't really see the details, but I'm wearing a grey beaded sweater from Tavi, pink dress from the Stylish Wanderer, tights and button-up ankle boots.

All dressed up for my Saturday morning errands! I'm becoming accustomed to getting a lot of funny looks on public transportation (presumably) for being so 'dressed up', but it doesn't bother me anymore in the slightest. Simply, I love my clothes too much to save them for a special occasion. I wear these Prada boots pretty much every day!

I added another to my official collection of "stolen posters of concerts I attended". My friends and I came too late and only caught the last few minutes of the opening act, but we kept heckling 'Sexdwarf' because their name is so silly. In between Sexdwarf and Spirits, the venue played Doolittle by the Pixies and it made me awfully excited! Today was eventful in the sense that I didn't do anything at all. I took a nap even though I never take naps because I was having trouble dealing with the exhaustion of doing nothing at all. Actually, I tried doing my ecology readings but that didn't work out so well. HEY LEAVE ME ALONE, AT LEAST I WORE SEQUINS.

Isn't it funny how when you were younger, finding the perfect outfit for the first day of school seemed like the most important thing in the world? Now it's more like, "Oh, I don't have class until the afternoon and it's not a big deal." Now that my "frosh week" duties have ended, I finally have time to catch my breath. Classes start tomorrow, and I couldn't be more pleased since it feels like I've been waiting so long to return to University. "Gender, Culture and Technology" looks like it's going to be my most interesting class.

I bought these pointy leather Prada boots right before I moved, and was waiting for the perfect outfit to wear them before they made their blog debut. Basically, I stumbled upon them at a local consignment store, and I knew they were meant for me since the store was having a 50% off sale. I figured that $75 was an excellent deal for quality leather boots let alone Prada boots, so I splurged. They're basically my favourite pair of footwear that I have ever owned and will cherish them until my dying day.

All I Do Is Party

I was ecstatic to be able to relinquish my "frosh week" duties and let loose to MSTRKRFT play in Kitchener last night. Their set was rad and I have temporary hearing loss. However, the opening DJ wasn't my cup of tea and played for about two hours which was two hours too long. But I loved my outfit! The batwing cape was so much fun to dance in and I was a little devastated when some girl accidentally ripped a massive hole in my sparkly tights with her high heel. Ripped tights and shitty opening DJ aside, a good time was had by all.

So, ummm, don't kill me here - but am I the only singular soul out there who completely hates these Ashish for Topshop leopard shoes? I usually love leopard print, but this stuff is just cartoon-ish. And the shape looks like some kind of awful joke. They're not elegant at all! I'm clearly missing out on something, because for the life of me I just fail to understand what everyone finds so alluring about these goddamn shoes.

My New Digs

Hello everyone! I've finally finished moving into my new apartment in the city - an exciting achievement for a country girl such as myself. The place was in absolute squalor and disarray and it took two solid days of cleaning before it entered a liveable state. I can't believe how naive I was about the renter's market! However, the place cleaned up nicely and I'm pleased to share the results of my decorating prowess. Behold, my new digs!
