My Name is Silvertongue

Today. Today. TODAY!! Woot!! It's Friday. You know what else it is? Today is a very, very special day. I mean besides having my #1 favorite blogger visiting me today, special.

:drumroll: This is my 100th post!!!!! :fanfare: Wheeeeeeee!! Wow!! I did it!! And you know, I couldn't have done it without you, my followers, my readers, my friends. So, today, as a special treat, I'm giving you guys a treat.

Raise your hand if you are a Friends fanatic. Wow. I thought so. And of course you remember the episode where Phoebe meets her half brother for the second time, and Ross makes his list of Top 5 celebrity Freebies and laminates it, leaving off Isabella Rossellini, who just happens to stop in and disses him. Best episode ever. I would add a video clip here, but I can't, so you'll just have to remember it on your own.

What does that have to do with this post? Welllll.....today's Best Scoop of the Week is none other than Dumb Mom from parenting By dummies. I will highlight on all her fabulousness here in a moment, but I asked her what book would she like to be read into and why, ala Inkheart style. She has a great answer, which I will get to in a few minutes, but, to go along with that, I decided to treat you to some eye candy of my Top 5 Movie Characters (or is it the actor portraying the character?!?) that I would runaway with for several hours of ALONE time. You with me? You got your fans ready, a tall glass of ice cold water next to your computer, ready to quell the heat that will be rising from your monitor? Yes? Good, because here we go....

1. Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) Seriously, who wouldn't want to be romanced by a man willing to go to farthest reaches of the sea to save his one and only true love?
2. Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), a hot rebel who can dance, with a sensitive side....
3. Bram Stoker's Dracula (Gary Oldman) You can't beat a love that carries over centuries.

4. Aragorn (Viggo Mortenson) He is strong, yet he is lost, and you can't help but love him in spite of himself.

5. And lastly, who could forget how Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) stole our hearts along with Rose's with his free spirited and whole hearted pure love?

Are you ready to come back down to earth yet? I've still got to tell you about the Best Scoop of the Week.
Are you ready for some laughter? I hope you haven't eaten any time recently, since today's Featured Blogger will have you busting buttons from your pants laughing so hard. I can hardly do the justice that this lady deserves, but I can tell you that she was one of my very first discoveries here in blogland. From the moment I read her first sentence I was hooked. I know that no matter how tough my day is, I can visit her blog and leave it feeling so much better. She is awesome. Her kids are awesome. Even Dumb Dad is awesome (but we can't tell him that, okay?) I am very honored to introduce you to Dumb Mom from parenting By dummies.

She's got some great advice for new moms, some tips on handling life's toughest questions, and she is not afraid to show you the old school way. You should really check out her tips for hauling 3 boys to the movies and survive. In her endeavors to be a better parent, she has established some rules to make life easier (hers!! not theirs!! Haha) Are you hooked yet? No? Well, then maybe her response to my question will reel you in:

"If you were read into a book, which book and why?"
***************

If I could live in a book I'd want it to be a compilation.  Like short story exceprts from some of my faves all shoved into one book together so when living with Edward and the Cullens gets boring (seriously, as if), I could just run down to Hogwarts for a bit and do the whole magical adventure thing.  But then, when I'm sick of living as a sexually frustrated teen I could roll over to Bon Temps and hang with Sookie.  No scratch that.  I could BE Sookie and hook up with Eric Northman, vampire sex god, for a bit.  And, when I get sick of dealing with the supes of the world and having my life threatened by believed-to-be mythical creatures, I could trot on over to some romantic-comedy-Bridget-
Jonesish type thing, Like Confessions of a Shopaholic (believe me, the books were WAY better than the movie).  I LOVED that series.  Obviously I'm as indecisive as I am dumb.

A compilation of books sounds really good to me, Dumb Mom, especially if they combined all those characters from above. I would be awesome competition for Elizabeth or Rose, or even Baby with her overprotective parents and all, for that matter. If Silvertongue read you into a story, where would you go and who would you be?
