Honey Power

I generally never buy books because:
a) you can get them at the library for free
b) they take up a lot of space and I am a nomadic student renter
c) you can't wear them every day

But I do have a certain weakness for coffee table books filled with colourful fascinating pictures. While browsing around in Chapters, I found an intriguing book in the sale section (for $12.99!) called "Punk House: Interiors in Anarchy" by Abby Banks, which is kind of a stupid title but the editor's name compelled me to pick it up.

The book chronicles a number of "punk houses" in the US where people live communally on zero cash.  The decorating in these places is haphazard (probably because of a high volume and turnover of occupants), but has the same elements of chaos and mess that make The Selby interiors beautiful -  which proves to me that good taste is free. See what I mean?
A sampling of my favourite images, cover to cover. Just click on the photos to see them larger because details are key in all these photos! This book is definitely worth a look if you stumble upon it, and was certainly worth the buy for $12.99!
