MEADHAM KIRCHHOFF S/S 2011
Without a doubt, Meadham Kirchhoff was the most standout collection. I loved everything about it. The white peter pan collars on black dresses and rainbow tie-dye hair just speaks to me in a fashion dialect I had no idea existed until now. It’s like this kindergarten goth art-school fantasy was just waiting for the perfect time to occur, and the time is NOW. I also wrote a steamy love letter to the shoes on the LG fashion blog.
D&G S/S 2011
Umm, could the floral print at D&G get any better? I think not. The whole gingham vibe made me feel like I was going to a fancy picnic to eat macaroons and canapés. Not to mention the subtle underlying fairy tale theme? I spy Snow White and the Seven Dwarves printed tees!
CHRISTOPHER KANE S/S 2011
Christopher is always a favourite, and it kills me that he described the collection as “Princess Margaret on acid”. I’ve done little to conceal my utter glee for everything involving the Royal family, so prim basics with a shock of colour are an easy candidate for my stamp of approval.
ALEXANDRE HERCHCOVITCH S/S 2011
The award for "the most schizophrenic collection" goes to... (drumroll) Alexandre Herchcovitch!! It's like he traced an individual's personal development from kindergarten pain splatters to 9th grade goth. Nice job.
