BSOW: Being George Clooney

Today I am doing things a little different, I actually interviewed this week's Best Scoop of the Week, because I have something special planned for tomorrow, in celebration of Scooby's third birthday.

She shares with us the hazards of what happens when good ideas go wrong. She reveals how all good things in life start with the letter "L".  She gives an inside scoop into primary school dances. She's also a fellow aspiring writer. I'm pleased to introduce you to Allison Tait from "Life in Pink Fibro"...

1. What did you want to be when you grew up? Are you doing it now?

For a long time, I wanted to be a detective, like Trixie Belden or Nancy Drew. Then it occurred to me that there were bad guys involved. Not ideal. I became a journalist instead. Now that I’m branching into fiction, I get to make up the bad guys.

2. What's the best job, other than motherhood, you've ever had? Why?

Being a journalist is not half bad. It’s like the world’s best education, and someone’s paying you to get it. And if you’re the curious type, who can’t help but ask questions, well, let’s just say it doesn’t get much better.

3. Tell us about something you do just like your mother did, even though you swore you wouldn't.

I talk to my newspaper. Yep, I do. I also argue with the television. Oh yes, indeedy. Can’t help myself. Must be genetic.

4. Who would you like to be for 24 hours?

I’d like to be George Clooney. I’d love to know what goes on behind that impeccably smooth façade. (insert from The Drama Mama who is giggling. I love that she said George Clooney. I wonder how GC would like that?)

5. If you could give one piece of advice to a brand new blogger, what would it be?
Don’t start if you have commitment issues. A blog is like a demanding baby and it won’t be ignored.

Thanks for hanging out, Allison. I enjoyed the interview!
