Stewart's 'Snow White and the Huntsman' a Trilogy? Why?

What is it with people having confidence in Kristen Stewart's acting abilities? Yes, she may be the new poster child for today's "alternative girl," but that's only because the media made her that way. Why couldn't we idolize Evan Rachel Wood or Elle Fanning or someone with some talent?

After reporting that Stewart would play Snow White in one of the two spin off films set to come out in 2012 (maybe), there has been talks of Stewart's Snow White and the Huntsman being turned into a trilogy.

“It's meant to be the first in a series of films,” said producer Joe Roth. “This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters.”

What questions could there possibly be? Why didn't we give the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron) more face time? Why did we entrust a trilogy to an awkward actress who always looks like she has to go to the bathroom? Why did we think we could make a 5-minute clip in the cartoon into a series of films?

As the questions continue and my point of view becomes more and more apparent, I turn to you gentle reader. What do you think of this? Do you even care? Anyone, anyone? Bueller?

Daniel Radcliffe Admits Drinking Problem Due to Harry Potter Fame

Poor Harry. Actor Daniel Radcliffe (who is turning 22 this month) admitted in a recent interview to have a reliance on alcohol while filming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2009. While the legal age in Europe is 18, Radcliffe says that he had a problem.

“I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” he said. "There were a few years there when I was just so enamoured with the idea of living some sort of famous person's lifestyle that really isn't suited to me."

Radcliffe has since stopped drinking for close to a year and has worked hard to change his lifestyle.

“As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn't work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully.”

The actor is currently starring in the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and preparing for the eighth Harry Potter film to premiere.

I'm proud of him for acknowledging the problem and fixing it. Can't wait for the last film. July 15th. It all ends.

'Bridesmaids' Surpasses 'Sex and the City' as Highest Grossing Female Comedy

While I love Carrie and the girls, it looks like it's time for them to make room for this summer's hit female comedy. Kristen Wiig's Bridesmaids has just exceeded Sex and the City's box office numbers by bringing in $159.2 million in the U.S.

Read my Bridesmaids' review HERE and go see it if you can!

Jamie Foxx Confirms Django Role and DiCaprio's Role

It looks like Quentin Tarantino's spaghetti Western, Django Unchained, is on its way. Jamie Foxx recently confirmed the rumors that he would play the role of Django and let it slip that Leonardo DiCaprio will also star in the film.

According to Total Film, Foxx said, "I think, just to be able to work with Quentin Tarantino, Samuel L Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio, and to be able to tell a story that needs to be told."

Well, even though I would have preferred Will Smith, I still can't wait for this cast. What do you guys think?

Tale of the Sucky Vampire

I will admit that I am a nocturnal creature. There's just something about the night that enthralls me. As I get older though, nocturnal habits are beginning to create problems of their own.

I used to have this thing for vampires. Creatures of the night like me, the whole forbidden desires aspect, and that they kicked butt just held mucho appeal for me. Well, that, and aside from the red eyes, they are hella sexy too. Especially the vampires of late.

Today though, I would make a horrible vampire. Seriously. I'm not afraid to tell you why.

Here's why The Drama Mama would make a sucky vampire:
  • I would starve to death and my death would bring disgrace to vampires everywhere. And it's not a squeamish to blood thing, either. Blood I can handle. My disabling aspect is that I am blind as Stevie Wonder at night. I can have a floor free of debris and a chartered course after I turn out the lights and STILL stumble over my no-longer-sleeping husband in the bed, 8 feet off the ground. This does not bode well for my nocturnal adventures to find fresh meat.
  • I would bring all the vampire hunters straight to the lair because of my not-so-subtle stomping. Seriously have you ever known a quiet deaf person?
  • My immortal years would end in early demise because if I didn't starve to death, my old joints would never move fast enough to avoid getting caught. That's if I could haul my fat butt fast enough to catch something in the first place.
  • I would disgust myself. I'm an Italian food lover, and anyone who knows anything about Italian food knows its heavy laden in the garlic. I wouldn't be able to come or to go. I wouldn't be able to stand my own flesh. Yet I would still eat that spaghetti.
The only thing that would make me stand out as a vampire is my aversion to sunlight. Really. I burn, not tan. It's not pretty. So, I tend to avoid sunlight as much as possible, even though I have been told I sparkle.

So, tell me, what would make you a great or horrific vampire?
