Last Week's Fact or Fiction

1. Last year Santa brought me some bling.

True. I did find some bling in my stocking last Christmas. It was a gorgeous mother and child pendant with diamonds on a 10K gold chain. I love it.

2. Last year Santa brought me some music.

True. I received 2 CDs last year, Tim McGraw's Southern Voice and Carrie Underwood's Play On. The first one was new, the second I already owned. It was returned for Creed's Greatest Hits instead.

3.  Last year Santa brought me some Wii.

False. While I was a very naughty good girl, I did not receive my Wii until Mother's Day. It was a combined Mother's Day and late birthday present. My birthday is in February. Yeah. I soooo deserved that Wii!

Last Week's Fact or Fiction

 1. My favorite performer of all time is Carrie Underwood. 

True. She absolutely is my favorite performer of all time, and that's saying a lot since I love a variety of music. I hope she continues with the clean image.

2. My favorite movie of all time is Mary Poppins. 

False. Daisygirl, Paul & Kerry, and Missy were right. Mary Poppins is NOT my favorite movie of all time. It is definitely on my Top 10 List and it is my favorite all time Disney movie, however, The Divine Secrets of the Yaya Sisterhood is by far my favorite movie of all time. If you haven't seen it, you really must.

3. When I was a kid I wanted to be Tinkerbell.

True.  I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us Neverland kid. I did, in fact, long to be Tinkerbell, living in Neverland when I was a kid. I wanted to be Wendy too, and Peter Pan or even one of the Lost Boys (take your pick). But, at the end of the day, I was waiting for my fairy wings to appear, and hoping for my fairy dust to work. Yeah, I am was a dork. Haha.

Last Week's Fact or Fiction:

1. I have designed 4 blog layouts, and 5 unique blog headers that  are being used on blogs elsewhere today.

True: I have a little design blog named Genie Girl Graphics where you can check out the blog layouts I have done and see a couple that are available. I do invitations, buttons, and more as well.

2. I have a side job as a freelance editor for photography. 

False: I'm surprised that only one or two people actually got this one.

3. I have only been to 2 concerts in all my 39 years.

True: I saw Heart in concert when I was 19 and the Black Eyed Peas this year. I won tickets to see Queensryche but was unable to get off work to go (which is where I won the tickets, go figure!) so I gave the tickets to a couple of friends, who neglected to even bring me back a souvenir! I also missed an opportunity to see Carrie Underwood by waiting too long to buy the tickets. Boo!!

A Little Mood Music

I'm feeling very random today. It's Monday it's allowed. I pride myself on being pretty flexible on music, so you would find a variety of music in my CD case. And on my visor, where I keep my most precious, most favored musicians. Even my children have their favorites, and it's not rare that you would hear cries of "Boom Boom!" from the backseat. The other side of the car would be asking for "Carrie Underwood, mom, the new one!". I usually put in a little Kris Allen, or some old school Bon Jovi, and watch Scooby headbang in his carseat from the rearview mirror to "You Give Love a Bad Name".

We all sing along to a mixed CD I created for my wedding since it has some of our favorite songs on it like "Breathe" (Faith Hill), "Wonderful Tonight" (Eric Clapton), "Dance, Dance, Dance" (Five for Fighting), "Love Story" (Taylor Swift), a little "Gonna Make You Sweat" (C&C Music Factory), and "When You Say Nothin At All" (Alison Krauss). On any given day you could hear a little Black Eyed Peas pouring from my speakers too. Carrie Underwood graces 3 slots on my visor, and is joined by Montgomery Gentry (Greatest Hits), Tim McGraw (Southern Voice), and Keith Urban (Be Here), among others.

I've lost some CDs along the way and miss them like crazy-No Doubt's Greatest Hits, Maroon 5 to name a couple. I have a few vintage CDs like Heart's Greatest, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Journey, and Great White. I've even got an Eagles CD or 4.

My wish list is filled with American Idol singers-Alison Ireheta, Danny Gokey, and replacements of the lost CDs. (I really miss my No Doubt).
