Yikes. My first thought while watching this trailer was 'think of all the stars dying from the bird flu!' Certain films really rely on the cast more than the story. This plot looks like many that have come before it -- a contagious disease is threatening to destroy our species and so everyone freaks out and mayhem ensues. The only difference between this film and the other mediocre ones before it is the A-List celebrity line up. There's Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Lawrence Fishburne and Marion Cotillard. And it's no wonder. Steven Soderbergh who directed Erin Brockovich, Ocean's Eleven and Twelve and Traffic is the director and producer for this film. He has won an Oscar for Best Director (Traffic) and has been nominated for several others. So maybe this let's-run-around-screaming-with-our-heads-cut-off film will actually be good.
