Snuffy

Today, I am a tie-dye menace. This shirt rules, no matter what...

I'd like to thank all you well-wishers! After sleeping for 12.5 hours last night, I'm feeling slightly better but I might need another sleep of Rip van Winkle proportions in order to shake this darn illness. But first, I must tackle the monster that is Statistics class, and catch up on job-hunting/readings my for Environment and Development class. Cheers!

Ruby Red Ruby Lips

Right now I am vilely ill and my throat feels like its being prison shanked every time I talk/cough/swallow. So I'm probably going to try and get 12 hours of sleep tonight and hope its better in the morning. In the meantime, I've been swooning over pictures of wacky crazy bizarro nutty artistic people completely in their element, via the Selby. I am seriously obsessed with the decorating skills/tchotchke-collecting abilities of these folks.

Elements of the Past

The moment we've all been waiting for, the full outfit debut of my random fish sweater! I love sweaters that have no discernible meaning behind them. Funny story: Yesterday (when I was wearing this outfit) a TA for one of my classes approached me and asked if I was Isabel. Apparently, her friend had "heard" about the blog and wanted her to get the dirt me, whatever that means. Life can be so strange sometimes... Lastly, Steve Aoki (hipster-dj-extraordinaire) played at set at a club in town last night and I couldn't go because tickets were stupidly expensive. So instead a few of us went and had a chill Irish pub night instead. Speaking of the Irish, maybe last night is trying to tell me that my sweater has something to do with Finn MacCool??

P.S.: On another aquatic note, I am pretty obsessed with the Mighty Boosh's Eel Song. Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either.

Oh Stella Marie

I am really loving this severe look from Jil Sander F/W 09. Perhaps I enjoy it so much because it looks suspiciously like a dog cone. But that could just be me?

As I recall, it was a horror film

This outfit came together in a completely bizarre and random fashion. I basically just threw on the jacket and scarf over top of the rest of the outfit and realized how weird the long vest looked underneath. But I kind of like it anyways, especially mixing floral and plaid with Doc Martens and a circle scarf. I finally watched the videos on how to wear this thing and the only thing I can seem to manage is the 'double scarf with hood' or whatever its called that I'm wearing here. I went out with a group of friends for sushi today to a place I'd never been before and the portion sizes were huuuuge. Each maki was nearly the size of my fist! It was pretty gross.

You're pretty good looking (for a girl)

So the magic leopard coat makes yet another appearance on the blog because its rather special to me and only gets worn for a few weeks each year in the perfect weather: still chilly, but with no horrendous wind. Underneath the coat lies a Cub Scouts shirt and silly facial expression.

Last night got a little ridiculous, when the Alcatraz crew/Bro-hole members (also known as my friends) dressed up in full "Bro" costume. Totally indistinguishable from a real "Bro", right? Bitches love my new haircut.

No bro is complete without three things: tribal tattoos, protein (or 'brotein') and a cold brewskie.

Stylish Roundup

I think "Oh, Deer" is the some sort of clothing name brand, but it is much better off being used to describe this adorable outfit from Face Hunter.

Let's pay word association. If you say "Jackie O.", I say "sleek, black, pearls, pillbox hat". Somehow she looks even better wearing hot pink and odd necklaces.

Men's fashion is not my primary interest, but any outfit that involves plaid and tiger print is attention worthy. Especially when the model is an exact replica of Jake Gyllenhaal. (I think is is Missoni, a few seasons ago).

Lastly, I have admired this girl forever. I have admired those leggings since I started staring at this picture 5 minutes ago...
