New 'War Horse' Images
Steven Spielberg should probably take a breather and appreciate the legendary films he's already made. Having seen the show War Horse in London this summer, I can say that this story falls into that dangerous category of only being good on the stage. While the story of the young boy trying to find his horse in WWI is endearing, what makes it truly stand out is the depiction of the horses on stage. The horses in the show are giant puppets maneuvered by trained actors. These movements were so lifelike that by the end of the show you find yourself rooting and crying for a giant horse puppet on stage. Spielberg's film adaptation will eliminate all of these magical elements by incorporating actual horses. That being said, I still plan on seeing the film set to come out December 28th in the States. Here are the first images to come out.
